چکیده

Abstract In this work, performance of a modified-integral resonant controller with integral tracking is investigated numerically under the effects actuator delay and actuation constraints. Actuation constraints naturally limit performance, so much that it can cause instabilities. A 2-DOF drill-string m nonlinear bit–rock interactions analysed. The aforementioned control scheme implemented on system analysed found to be highly effective at coping these limitations. then compared sliding-mode shows superior in many regimes operation. Lastly, detail by varying its gains as well parameters, most notably delay.

Robust output-feedback control to eliminate stick-slip oscillations in drill-string systems

The aim of this paper is to design a robust output-feedback controller to eliminate torsional stick-slip vibrations. A multi-modal model of the torsional dynamics with a nonlinear bit-rock interaction model is used. The controller design is based on skewed-μ DK-iteration and the stability of the closed-loop nonlinear system is analyzed. The proposed controller design strategy offers significant...

Control of Stick-slip Oscillations in Oil Well Drill Strings Using the Back-stepping Technique

This paper deals with the problem of suppression of stick-slip oscillations in oil well drill-strings. The backstepping technique is used to design two control schemes for the system. The first controller is a typical backstepping controller; the second controller is a sliding back-stepping controller. Moreover, a reduced order observer is proposed to estimate the unmeasurable states of the sys...

Time Delay and Feedback Control of an Inverted Pendulum with Stick Slip Friction

We consider an experimental system consisting of a pendulum, which is free to rotate 360 degrees, attached to a cart which can move in one dimension. There is stick slip friction between the cart and the track on which it moves. Using two different models for this friction we design feedback controllers to stabilize the pendulum in the upright position. We show that controllers based on either ...

: examining l2 teachers’ corrective feedback types in relation to learners’ uptake, proficiency levels, and context types

abstract this study investigates the teachers’ correction of students’ spoken errors of linguistic forms in efl classes, aiming at (a) examining the relationship between the learners’ proficiency level and the provision of corrective feedback types, (b) exploring the extent to which teachers’ use of different corrective feedback types is related to the immediate types of context in which err...

Partial Feedback Linearization and Control of the SLIP Model Via Two-Element Leg Actuation Strategy

The Spring Loaded Inverted Pendulum (SLIP) has been extensively studied and used as an inspiration to research on legged locomotion. Biological data suggest that legs regulate energy production and removal via muscle activation, and therefore the conservative SLIP model cannot fully explain the robustness of many legged animals during running and hopping gaits. In this work we consider the acti...
